Offering such a rich aesthetic, technological and immersive experience in such a compact coupe guided the PEUGEOT Style team throughout the duration of this project. It is this realism in volumes and proportions that gives its strength to PEUGEOT e-LEGEND CONCEPT and allows it to embody the ambition of the PEUGEOT brand with such modernity and energy.

Depending on the type of road traffic or the driver's state of mind, PEUGEOT e-LEGEND CONCEPT offers four driving modes.

In autonomous mode, the interior configuration of the PEUGEOT e-LEGEND CONCEPT adapts thanks to by-wire steering technology, the steering wheel retracts under the soundbar in order to completely clear the 49-inch screen, the front seats When tilted, the side armrests deploy automatically, freeing up large storage space and an induction charging area for a smartphone, the main controls remain accessible via the central console integrated into the driver's seat.

Occupants can then indulge in their favorite leisure activities: playing the integrated video game or watching a film either in the curved central screen, or in each screen integrated into the sun visors.

Fitting perfectly into the brand's vision of the energy transition, PEUGEOT e-LEGEND CONCEPT is powered by a 100% electric powertrain.
Using 100 kWh batteries, the engine develops a torque of 800 Nm and a power of 340 kW distributed to the four drive wheels. This level of performance allows you to go from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 220 km/h. The range is 600 km according to the WLTP standard, including 500 km accessible in 25 minutes thanks to rapid charging.
PEUGEOT e-LEGEND CONCEPT cultivates the spirit of zero technological constraints by offering induction charging.

The choice of the silhouette of a Coupé for an autonomous vehicle magnifies the driving experiences by using very modern codes, a completely realistic and pragmatic size and proportions. The emergence of new electric platforms opens up the field of possibilities for designers by removing the technical constraints linked to thermal propulsion.

To shape its technological vision, PEUGEOT e-LEGEND CONCEPT draws on the brand’s heritage. A nod: reinterpreting the major style themes of a pleasure car, the 504 Coupé: a light, athletic, sharp and sensual silhouette as well as a cabin, arched towards the rear axle, benefiting from large glass sections.

 

At the front, the look of the car is identifiable thanks to a visual signature with 3 claws and two double modules reminiscent of the 4 headlights of the 504 Coupé.
The technical area is located under the spotlights, it includes all the driving assistance functions.
The entire front mask is embedded in the front fenders and split in two by a black aluminum beam, a legacy of the chrome stainless steel bumpers.

At the rear, the emblematic visual signature of the PEUGEOT range is also 3 claws and treated in a very technological way.

The sides are treated in 3 distinct layers with, in particular, an extension of the technical platform in the lower part and a large glazed area, inspired by the sheet metal/glass ratio of the PEUGEOT 504 Coupé. These large glazed surfaces made of glass flood the interior of the PEUGEOT e-LEGEND CONCEPT with light. The wheel arches are negative sculpted and the front one incorporates an air passage. The whole is highlighted by a metal arch surrounding the side windows and magnifying a recessed and faceted rear window. Visible from the outside under the rear quarter window, a screen broadcasts a personalized welcome message as well as the charge level to its user before departure. It also warns people outside that the car is driving in autonomous mode. The touch-sensitive door opening control is cleverly hidden in the rear quarter window.

The bodywork is a gray shade subtly tinted with champagne, extremely taut.
Depending on the outside light, the color changes from a chrome reflecting all its environment to a polished bronze metal appearance.
The process used is similar to that applied to the bottling of the greatest perfumers.

 

The wheels are made up of 19-inch diameter rims and MICHELIN® tires of mass-produced dimensions.
Realism and credibility.

 

In order to offer an elegant and bright interior, the designers' choice focused on warm materials, counterbalancing the cold digital material. Counterpoint in the frantic race to all-digital.

Velvet is making a comeback! Chosen in the noblest of executions for its silky and very pleasant touch, silk velvet is skilfully mixed with a modern technical knit which offers more freedom in terms of tailoring. This weave is digitally woven especially for PEUGEOT e-LEGEND CONCEPT from a shiny thread reminiscent of the color of velvet. This material is found in PEUGEOT 3008 or 5008.

The upper parts and door entrances are made from paldao wood by our partner HERVET MANUFACTURIER®. Coming from renewable forests, this exotic wood is strongly reminiscent of furniture from the 60s then in rosewood or ebony. The dark veins of this species bring out the turquoise blue present on the seats and the floor. This modern interpretation of wood is reminiscent of the dashboards of the GT finishes of the PEUGEOT 3008, 5008 and 508.

Scattered throughout the passenger compartment, the digital material (or digital interpretation of real materials) is composed of two main themes: networks of lines reminiscent of bronze or networks of lines imitating the wood of cabinetwork. It is broadcast on 16 screens of different sizes, such as: 49 inches curved under the sound bar facing the occupants, 29 inches in the doors or 12 inches in each sun visor. The digital materials have been the subject of in-depth consideration in order to fit perfectly and blend into the cabin. The central console provides access to the main driving controls via a rotary control and a 6-inch touch screen. To the left of the steering wheel, a strip of digital toggles is made up of contextual and configurable controls depending on the driving mode.

 

The design of the H-shaped seats and the vertical padding are inspired by the PEUGEOT 504 Coupé: weight gain with the most compact dimensions possible, "comfort fit" combining comfort and stimulating support thanks to the use of memory foam (at the way of a fitted suit). The headrests are cross-sectional, adjustable or even completely retractable by integrating into the seat.



The Responsive i-COCKPIT® capitalizes on the i-COCKPIT® which characterizes the PEUGEOT brand models. It notably consists of a head-up instrument panel with 3 dials and an ultra-compact steering wheel.



In order to complete the immersion and personalization of its interior, a fragrance diffuser perfumes the vehicle.
