HDi (High-pressure Direct Injection) is the name given to the brand's diesel engines. This technology reduces Nox (carbon monoxide) emissions , curbs CO2 emissions and boosts fuel efficiency.

With CO2 emissions of just 149 g/km and a power output of 163 bhp, the 508 with the 2.0l HDi engine is the best available option for this level of power and emissions within its segment.

The advanced 1.6L THP (Turbo High Pressure) petrol engine won the Engine of the Year award for its category for 8 consecutive years.  It features a high output of 163 bhp, and torque of 240 Nm, and for the Sri Lankan market is specially designed for poor fuel quality applications.
